I must confess, I missed Her Highness upon its initial release so I cannot compare the two iterations sonically, but what is presented here is incredibly wonderful. Absent are the harsh, almost industrial tones of Shot Forth Self Living and The Buried Life; vocals are much cleaner and higher in the mix, the arrangements are more complex and interesting than a 3-piece would usually bring to the table. Thoroughly enjoyable. A klanger. Ashton Richards
